I started as a therapist because I wanted to understand my self and others more deeply. Even though I can say that - objectively - over the years I have gained deeper insight into how we relate, how we get stuck, how we grow, that knowledge is nothing next to the curiosity and sense of mystery that keeps me going. I have always been inspired by encountering the richness and diversity of human experience, and I draw meaning and nourishment from being able to meet people as they really are - witnessing the many ways that we find to re-connect to our whole selves. My experience as a therapist has solidified my belief in the capacity for people to grow and change through relationships - including especially our relationships with ourselves.
Common themes of my work with clients include: healing from past painful experiences, learning how to feel at home in your body, and relating with more ease to those around you. Through counseling, it is possible to shift away from self-defeating patterns that are no longer useful, and learn to relate to yourself and others in ways that allow you to feel more present and genuine in your life.
Individual Counseling: I provide individual therapy to adults over 18 years old. Sessions are typically scheduled weekly.
Walking and Moving Sessions: Sometimes things look and feel different with movement. Whether we are in the therapy room or plan to have our session as we walk to a nearby park, we can work with your felt embodied experience as a guiding principle to explore what is stuck, what wants to move, and what needs more support.
Next Steps: If you are interested in beginning a therapeutic relationship with me, give me a call or email to set up a brief phone call. Together we can explore whether or not we would be a good fit for each other. If you would like to use your insurance, you can check my "FEES" tab to see if I am a preferred provider with your plan.
I offer individual therapy sessions adults 18 and older.
